John has been working with a variety of therapies since 1989 and he is also the founder of Reverse Therapy.
He works with Bodymind healing techniques, Symptom-focused therapy and Brief therapy formats. He can work with many different types of symptomatic states but has specialist expertise with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Stress, Addictions, Relationship problems, Sexual difficulties. He works with adults, children and couples. Using Reverse Therapy he also treats Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Unexplained Pain conditions and Auto-immune Disease. He is also a Personal and Business coach working on conflict management, communication, team-building, emotional intelligence and leadership.
He graduated in Ericksonian therapy in 1989 and went on to acquire certifications in a variety of other approaches: NLP therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour therapy, Focusing, Hypnotherapy and Brief Solution-focused therapy before coming up with a new approach – Reverse Therapy – in 2002.
John graduated with a doctorate from Lancaster University Department of Psychology in 1998 and is a member of the British Psychological Society. Since 1989 he has delivered over 20,000 therapy hours to clients. He has also trained and supervised hundreds of other professionals and is still available for training and coaching today.
In 2007 the Second edition of his bestselling book -‘ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia – The Reverse Therapy Approach‘ was published and ‘Reverse Therapy for Health‘ (2008) has also been published as an Ebook on the Reverse Therapy website. His latest book – ‘Psychotherapy‘ (2014) is available as a Kindle book.
